Important Notice:

For reasons ofhealth protection and hygiene, perfumes and personal care products that have beenunsealed or usedafter deliverycannot be returned or refunded unless faulty or defective.

This is in line with:

  • Regulation 28(3)(a) of the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and
  • Article 16(e) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU

Additionally, sale items and promotional deal items are not eligible for refunds under consumer law unless faulty, misdescribed, or not fit for purpose. Where applicable, these items may be eligible for anexchange only.

Returns Policy:

We offer a 14-day return policy, meaning you have 14 days from the date you receive your order to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be:

  • In the same condition that you received it
  • Unworn or unused
  • Unsealed items must not have been opened or used (as set out above)
  • With tags and in its original packaging
  • Accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase

Once your return is approved, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send the package. Items sent back without prior approval will not be accepted.

Return Shipping Costs:

If your return is the result of an error on our part—such as receiving a damaged, defective, or incorrect item—we will provide a prepaid return shipping label.

In all other cases, including:

  • Change of mind
  • Ordering the wrong item
  • Not liking the scent

you will be responsible for the return shipping costs and for ensuring the parcel arrives safely back with us.

Please note:

  • Unsealed or used items, as well as sale items or items purchased as part of a promotional deal, cannot be refunded (unless faulty) but may be exchanged at our discretion.
  • This aligns with consumer law, which permits retailers to restrict refunds on sale/discounted items, provided this is made clear before purchase.

Unsuccessful Deliveries & Customs-Related Returns:

For international orders, including within the EU, if a parcel is returned to us due to:

  • Refused delivery
  • Change of mind
  • Unpaid customs duties or taxes
  • Missed delivery attempts
  • Failure to collect within the courier’s holding period
  • Incorrect or incomplete address

then:

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable
  • Customs duties and taxes are non-refundable
  • A refund will be issued only once the returned parcel is received and inspected, and will exclude original shipping costs

Important: If the parcel is disposed of by the destination country due to any of the above reasons, no refund will be issued.

Damages and Issues:

Please inspect your order upon arrival. If the item is damaged, defective, or you’ve received the wrong item, contact us immediately atinfo@reefperfumes.co.uk so we can resolve the issue promptly.

Exceptions / Non-returnable Items:

Some items cannot be returned, including:

  • Perishable goods (E.G., food, flowers, plants)
  • Custom or personalised products (E.G., special orders)
  • Personal care goods (E.G., beauty products, perfumes once unsealed)
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases
  • Sale items and promotional deal items (eligible for exchange only, unless faulty, misdescribed, or not fit for purpose, in line with consumer law)
  • Gift cards
  • Any goods sealed for health protection or hygiene reasons, once unsealed after delivery, as set out in Regulation 28(3)(a) of the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and Article 16(e) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU

If you’re unsure about a specific item, please reach out to us before attempting a return.

Exchanges:

The quickest way to receive the item you want is to return your original purchase (once approved) and place a new order separately.

Sale items and promotional deal items may be eligible forexchange only (unless faulty), not refunds.

European Union 14-Day Cooling Off Period:

If your order is shipped to a country within the European Union, you have the legal right to cancel or return your order within 14 days of delivery, for any reason and without justification, except for goods which fall under the exemption in Article 16(e) of Directive 2011/83/EU (I.E., sealed goods not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, once unsealed after delivery).

To qualify, items must meet the return eligibility criteria listed above.

Please note: For me orders, the same international return conditions apply. If a parcel is returned due to change of mind, unpaid duties, missed deliveries, or incorrect address, we will refund the order excluding shipping costs once the item is returned.

If the parcel is not returned or disposed of, no refund will be provided.

Customs duties and taxes are non-refundable.

Refunds:

Once we’ve received and inspected your return, we’ll notify you of the approval status. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Please note, it may take additional time for your bank or credit card provider to complete the refund.
